DHL has been a member of the Corporate Citizenship network since 2014. They record their corporate citizenship activities based on LBG criteria and make them quantifiable. They continually strive to improve the scope and quality of the data they collect. Being a member of the Corporate Citizenship network helps DHL ensure sustainability in their business operations. Since they have to update their activities, it is a way for them to implement programs for corporate citizenship. Moreover, DHL is inclined to having community outreach programs focused on instilling the spirit of volunteerism among DPDHL Group employees and calls this the Global Volunteer Day. This event encourages the employees to devote time and effort to create a positive impact in their communities. DHL implements this event annually which bundles global volunteerism and supports the sustainability strategy to serve the company’s economic interest.
